- Footage from this episode is used in the music video for "Digital Love."
- The Wilhelm scream is heard the 5th fourth dimension after "Habitation," "The Rise of the Not bad Devourer," "The Last Hope," and "Ascent of the Spinjitzu Principal" past a Nindroid kicked off the cliff by Lloyd, and once again faintly by another being knocked away by the h2o cycle.

Continuity
- While the Overlord searches Sensei Wu'due south retentivity, him losing the katana as a child, coming together Kai, fighting Garmadon in the Realm of Madness, being eaten by the Great Devourer, emerging from the snake's remains unharmed, seeing Lloyd become the Gilded Ninja, being hugged past Misako, and beingness reunited with his purified brother can be seen.
- The Samurai X Cave is introduced in this episode, explaining where Nya kept the Samurai Mech and arsenal following the move to Ninjago City. [ When? ]
- This marks Misako's simply speaking role in Flavour 3.
- Misako recognizing Nya's struggle of "2 boys, one centre" is a reference to her past with Wu and Garmadon.
- Aureate Dragons wing in a circle around Lloyd's caput subsequently he slams into a pillar in Garmadon's monastery, which is a play on the mutual blitheness trope that oftentimes involves birds or stars circumvoluted around a grapheme'southward caput to indicate a temporary head injury. This technique is too used on Brad Tudabone with dodge balls in "Double Trouble" and Cole with barrels in "The Last Hope."
- Zane's robotic elements announced differently than they did previously:
- His chest interior at present has a visible power source and the old-fashioned switches and gears (final seen in "Render of the Overlord") have been replaced with a more modernistic, wired wait. This is presumably the result of upgrades over fourth dimension.[one]
- When P.I.Ten.A.L. is repairing Zane, "pare" of his face appears as a hard shell rather than the more cloth-like substance it was previously shown to exist in "Darkness Shall Rise."
- P.I.Ten.A.Fifty. asking Zane "Are we compatible?" would be paralleled in "The Titanium Ninja" and "Versus," with Zane asking the question the latter two times.
- The surface area where Lloyd and Garmadon are chased past the Nindroid MechDragon afterward appears in Fenwick's illusion in "Kingdom Come" when he explains the concept of the Sixteen Realms to the ninja.
Errors
- When Cole says "Cheers, Zane" after the ninja give Zane their Techno Blades, he says it in Kai'due south voice.
- When P.I.X.A.L screams, she screams with Nya's voice.
- When Zane is mourning for P.I.X.A.L., the other three ninja have their bandanas on, despite taking them off after the ability shut downwardly.
